Namibia is a pretty dry place. The Namib is the oldest desert in the world. Basically there is no rainy season to worry about and any time of the year is good, and if it rains you will probably be very happy. The flowers are amazing!
January is pleasant during the day and may get a little chilly at night. You need to bring one jacket and a warm sleeping bag.
